Job summary

ABB in Jakarta, Indonesia, seeks a Technical Sales Support Manager to lead automation solution design (DCS/PLC/SCADA/SIS), drive technical tendering, and support cross-functional project execution across energy and process industries.

You will engage with EPCs, OEMs and consultants, coordinating with Sales, Engineering, and Project Management while ensuring compliance with global standards and cybersecurity trends. Hybrid work model in Jakarta is offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation & Control/Mechanical / Chemical Engineering
• Experience in technical sales support, proposal engineering, bid management (automation / ICSS) or Engineering
• Experience in Power Plants, Water & Wastewater, Oil & Gas, Renewables or Petrochemical EPC projects
• Hands-on knowledge of DCS, PLC, SCADA, and SIS platforms; ABB portfolio familiarity is a plus
• Strong skills in tender documentation, cost build-ups, and compliance matrices
• Effective communicator in cross-functional and multicultural environments
• Fluent in English; Bahasa Indonesia proficiency strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and define automation solutions (DCS, PLC, SCADA, SIS) based on customer specifications and URDs
• Lead technical tendering process by preparing proposals, compliance matrices, scope of supply docs and managing clarifications
• Support commercial and project execution through cost estimation, manhours planning, resource allocation, and handover from tendering to execution
• Engage with customers and industry stakeholders ensuring compliance with IEC, IEEE, NFPA, API and project standards and staying updated on IEC 61850, cybersecurity, and decarbonization
