Job summary

AMK Technology seeks an experienced AS/400 Developer (Mid-Senior) to join our Jakarta-based client team on a full-time onsite contract. You will own end-to-end development of core banking modules on IBM i, writing RPGLE and managing DB2 databases for reliable performance.

Ideal candidates have 3–7+ years in AS/400/IBM i, strong testing and debugging skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Indonesian citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3–7+ years of professional software development experience on AS/400/IBM i.
• Advanced proficiency in RPGLE programming and strong DB2 database management skills.
• Hands-on experience in module creation, routine system upgrades, patching, and bug fixing.

Responsibilities

• Build, update, optimize, and maintain core financial and banking applications on the AS/400 / IBM i environment.
• Write robust RPGLE code (RPG IV / ILE) to standards.
• Manage complex DB2/400 database operations, file definitions, and query optimization.
• Translate business requirements into efficient technical solutions.
• Conduct thorough unit testing, debugging, and issue resolution.
• Provide ongoing operational support and system fixes for live systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive deliverables on schedule.
• Maintain technical documentation and release notes.
