Job summary

VLink Inc. is seeking an experienced Mainframe/JCL specialist to support mission-critical banking applications and batch processing in a regulated, global environment. You will collaborate with US and Southeast Asia tech teams and maintain COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and IMS-based systems.

The role requires 5+ years in JCL/mainframe scripting, problem-solving skills, and strong English communication to coordinate across teams in a finance-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience specifically in JCL and mainframe scripting.
• Strong problem-solving ability, quick learning, and analytical thinking.
• Good English communication skills, essential for collaborating with a global team and internal coordination.
• Prior experience in the finance sector (banking, asset management, or fintech) is a significant advantage due to the complex, regulated nature of the work.
• Familiarity and hands-on expertise with core banking systems and technologies such as COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, IMS, and Batch Processing are preferred advantages.

Responsibilities

• Support mission-critical banking applications, transaction processing systems, and enterprise-scale financial operations as part of a large-scale Core Banking modernization and enhancement program for a leading financial institution headquartered in New York.
• Collaborate closely with global technology teams across the United States and Southeast Asia within a highly regulated, fast-paced, and technically sophisticated banking environment.
• Develop, support, and maintain mainframe scripting and backend batch processing systems using JCL.
• Utilize mainframe technologies including COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and IMS for core banking applications and batch processing solutions (considered a strong advantage/preferred).
