Job summary
Grab's CX Engineering team in Jakarta is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to design, build, operate, and monitor secure, high-quality Android apps. You will partner with mobile and backend teams, drive features from concept through deployment, and uphold top development standards.
You will report to the Senior Software Engineering Manager and be based on-site in Jakarta, collaborating across product and design to deliver scalable experiences for Grab's marketplace.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- 4+ years specializing in Android
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong understanding of CS fundamentals and app observability tools
Responsibilities
- Design and build Android features with RxJava and Kotlin.
- Collaborate with mobile and backend engineers, designers, data scientists and product managers to deliver features.
- Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high development standards.
- Brainstorm ideas, identify problems, and implement scalable, high-performance solutions.
- Take ownership of projects to meet functional and non-functional requirements for users and partners.
