Job summary

SpinCo seeks an Accountant based in Batam to support the spin-off and ensure accurate accounting and robust financial operations, coordinating transactions to comply with applicable laws and corporate directives.

The role covers monthly/quarterly closings, audits, tax compliance, fixed assets, inter-company bookings, inventory valuation, invoicing, dispute resolution, and management reporting to enable informed business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Typically 5–6 years of related experience in any MNC.
• Professional certifications preferred: CPA, CFP, CMA, CA, CGA, or APICS.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and coordination of annual audits.
• Review financial reports and statements and communicate variances to management.
• Improve accounting systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
• Oversee taxes and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Ensure proper accounting of fixed assets additions, disposals, and transfers.
• Generate reports for labor investigations, expense research, and monthly P&L statements; review actions from reports.
• Ensure budgets, schedules, and performance requirements are met.
• Review inter-company ICV bookings and payments; ensure accurate transaction recording.
• Coordinate annual physical inventory or stock take; ensure proper inventory valuation.
• Invoicing for shipments and services; resolve invoice disputes as per SOPs.
