Job summary

IFF in Indonesia, Jakarta (hybrid role) seeks a fragrance strategy leader to develop compelling scent concepts and drive cross‑functional collaboration across product development and marketing.

The successful candidate will guide perfumers, translate market insights into winning fragrance solutions, and ensure regulatory and cost considerations are met for sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in an international environment.
• Excellent olfactive communication skills supporting the creative process.
• Solid understanding of functional and technical capabilities across markets and consumers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute fragrance strategies aligned with customer needs, market trends, and profitability.
• Lead the creative fragrance development process by directing perfumers and identifying winning solutions.
• Leverage fragrance expertise and resources to drive innovation and competitive offerings.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams, track progress, and ensure clear stakeholder communication.
• Apply market and brand insights to support fragrance development and identify future opportunities.
• Ensure technical, regulatory, and cost compliance in material economics and sourcing.
• Build strong customer and stakeholder relationships through presentations and collaboration.
• Promote innovation and commercialization by leveraging new technologies and consumer preferences.

• Develop and execute fragrance strategies aligned with customer needs, market trends, and business profitability.
• Lead the creative fragrance development process by providing olfactive direction, guiding perfumers, and identifying winning fragrance solutions.
• Leverage fragrance expertise and resources including fragrance banks, olfactive terminology, fragrance genealogy, and sensory insights to drive innovation.
• Manage projects effectively by coordinating cross-functional teams, tracking progress, meeting deadlines, and ensuring clear stakeholder communication.
• Apply market, consumer, and brand insights to support fragrance development, identify trends, and uncover future business opportunities.
• Ensure technical, regulatory, and cost compliance by understanding raw material economics, regulatory requirements, and resource optimization.
• Build strong customer and stakeholder relationships through collaboration, presentations, and effective communication of fragrance strategies and solutions.
• Promote innovation and commercialization by leveraging new technologies, consumer preferences, and holistic scent design strategies to deliver competitive fragrance solutions.
  

What Makes You The Right Fit

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Fragrance, Marketing, Business or any other relevant discipline.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years relevant experience in an international environment.
• Excellent Olfactive communication skills which supports the overall creative process – discriminate, describe (association) and odor memory.
• Solid understanding of functional and technical capabilities, including knowledge of the consumers and different markets.
