Job summary

PT MYTECH ENGINEERING is seeking a Health, Safety & Environment professional to oversee site safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. You will conduct regular inspections, assess risks, and lead safety trainings for employees and managers.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, NEBOSH or equivalent qualification, and strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills to maintain a safe working environment and ensure adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health, safety or environmental field.
• x years’ experience in health and safety.
• HSE qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
• In depth knowledge of legislation (OSHA/EPA) and procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organization skills.
• Good analytical skills and critical thinking.
• Good public speaking skills.
• Leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Make regular site inspections to ensure safety standards.
• Plan safe working practices and implement changes as needed.
• Maintain compliance with current health and safety legislation.
• Ensure equipment is installed correctly and safely.
• Write reports, bulletins and newsletters.
• Undertake risk assessments and identify hazards.
• Determine ways of reducing risks and liaise with authorities.
• Organise and attend health and safety meetings.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Making regular site inspections
• Planning safe working practices and making necessary changes
• Keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation
• Ensuring that equipment is installed correctly/safely
• Writing reports, bulletins and newsletters
• Undertaking risk assessments
• Identifying potential hazards
• Determining ways of reducing risks
• Liaising with relevant authorities
• Organising/attending health and safety meetings
• Safely handling hazardous substances
• Compiling statistics
• Making recommendations following accidents/incidents
• Keeping up to date with developments within the profession
• Making presentations to groups of employees/managers.
• Providing health and safety training courses for employees and managers
• Investigating/recording incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health
• Writing internal health and safety policies/strategies
• Drawing-up safe operational procedures

Requirements / Skills / Qualifications
