Job summary

Yayasan Plan International Indonesia (YPII) is seeking a Safety & Security Consultant to plan, coordinate, and deliver safety and security work across the country. Based in Jakarta, the consultant will support updates to policies, conduct risk assessments, training and drills, and coordinate with field offices and visitors.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in safety/security and strong English communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Management, Economics, Administration or a related field.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in safety and security, logistics, or a related field, preferably in an NGO or humanitarian setting.
Strong planning and organizing skills.
Leadership, proactive and takes initiative.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Good negotiation skills.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

Safety and Security Updates: Proactively update staff on safety matters and unrest information in Jakarta and listed areas.
Safety SOPs: Update and share safety and security SOPs and policies with all staff.
Local briefings: Coordinate with Safety Focal Persons in each office for updates and briefings.
Visitor safety: Prepare and update the Safety & Security Pack for international visitors.
Emergency tree: Maintain and test the Emergency Communication Tree.
Management Standard: Ensure Safety & Security section is updated annually.
Quarterly/annual reports: Update safety sections in Quarterly Reports and annual reports.
