Job summary

World Vision Indonesia is seeking a local Fixed Term Employee to lead safety, security, and crisis management across its Papua operations. You will act as the national technical authority on security, guiding risk assessments, incident response, and duty of care for staff and partners in high-risk areas.

The role requires 5+ years in safety/security within NGO contexts, strong English and Bahasa Indonesia, and willingness to spend substantial time in the field as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Security Management or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in safety/security management.
• Experience with NGO/INGO humanitarian or faith-based organizations preferred.
• Fluent in English; ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead WVI’s integrated Safety, Security, Duty of Care, Crisis Management, Emergency Preparedness and Business Continuity programs across all operations.
• Serve as national technical lead and advisor on security matters for high-risk areas.
• Develop and update security standards, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
• Oversee budgets and procurement of security resources and services.
• Coordinate with external security actors and internal departments to ensure duty of care.
