Job summary

PT Mineral Industri Indonesia (Persero) – MIND ID invites a Safety Governance & Performance specialist to strengthen project and process safety governance across the group, from study through startup and operation readiness.

In this individual contributor role, you will review safety aspects, conduct assurance reviews (ORA, PSSR), support Process Safety Management, evaluate barriers and major hazards, monitor risk indicators, and advise member companies with strong English and Bahasa Indonesia

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (metallurgical/chemical/mechanical/electrical).
• 5-8 years in project safety or process safety in mining or high-risk industries.
• Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management and HAZOP/bowtie analysis.
• Certifications or training in process safety and occupational safety are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review safety aspects throughout all project phases from study to start-up.
• Conduct assurance reviews of HSE plans, ORA, and PSSR.
• Support development and implementation of Process Safety Management frameworks.
• Evaluate barriers and major hazards to strengthen prevention of incidents.
• Review risk studies (HAZID, HAZOP, Bowtie, SIL, LOPA) and monitor mitigation effectiveness.
• Provide technical guidance to MIND ID Group member companies on project and process safety.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a professional to join our Safety Strategy & Assurance Department as Safety Governance & Performance (Project & Process Safety). In this individual contributor role, you will contribute to strengthening project and process safety governance across the MIND ID Group, ensuring that safety risks are effectively assessed and managed throughout project development, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Review safety aspects throughout all phases of projects, from study and design to construction, commissioning, and start-up.
• Conduct assurance reviews of Project HSE Management Plans, Operation Readiness Assessments (ORA), and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR).
• Support the development and implementation of Process Safety Management frameworks and practices.
• Evaluate process safety barriers, safeguards, and Major Accident Hazards to strengthen the prevention of major incidents.
• Review risk assessment studies, including HAZID, HAZOP, Bowtie Analysis, SIL, and LOPA, and monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures.
• Monitor process safety performance indicators and review project and process safety incidents to identify lessons learned and improvement opportunities.
• Provide technical guidance and support to MIND ID Group member companies on project safety and process safety matters.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 5-8 years of relevant professional experience in project safety, process safety, or related disciplines, preferably in the mining, minerals processing, or other high-risk industries.
• Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management, project HSE planning, construction safety, commissioning, and operational readiness.
• Experience in process safety risk assessment methodologies, including HAZOP, Bowtie Analysis, and barrier management.
• Relevant certifications or training in process safety, HAZOP, and occupational safety and health. Construction safety and electrical safety qualifications are an advantage.
• Strong safety leadership, analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
