Job summary

Responsibilities

• Develop cosmetic product formulations based on briefs and market needs.
• Research new raw materials and evaluate their safety and effectiveness.
• Develop new formulas and modify existing formulations.
• Conduct stability, safety, and performance testing.
• Prepare and maintain formulation documentation (SOPs, formula sheets, and testing data).
• Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure material and product quality.
• Prepare samples for internal and external testing.
• Monitor industry trends, technologies, and regulations in cosmetics.
• Ensure compliance with BPOM regulations and international standards.
• Support production for scale-up.

As an R&D Formulator Staff, you will play an important role in developing and improving cosmetic formulations based on product briefs and market needs. You will conduct raw material research, develop and evaluate formulas, perform product testing, and work closely with QA/QC and Production teams to ensure that products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Bachelor's degree (S1) in Pharmacy, Pharmacist (Apoteker), or Chemistry

Fresh graduate or minimum 1 year of working experience.

What will you do?

Develop cosmetic product formulations based on product briefs and market needs.

Conduct research on new raw materials and evaluate their effectiveness and safety.

Develop new formulas and modify existing formulations according to product requirements.

Conduct stability, safety, and performance testing of cosmetic products.

Prepare and maintain formulation documentation, including SOPs, formula sheets, and testing data.

Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure the quality of raw materials and finished products meets established standards.

Prepare product samples for internal and external testing.

Monitor the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in the cosmetic industry.

Ensure all formulation activities comply with BPOM regulations and applicable international standards.

Support the production process to ensure that formulations can be successfully implemented on an industrial scale.
