Job summary

Datacenter People is partnering with an international real estate investment, development and management company focused on data centres across Europe and Asia. We are seeking a skilled design and drafting professional to join the team on remote locations in the UK and beyond.

The role involves medium to high complexity design, 2D/3D modeling, BOMs, and supporting application engineers, with travel up to 15%. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, BIM360 and strong Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years drafting experience with Autodesk tools.
• Knowledge of electrical devices and power distribution.
• Experience with busway/busduct products preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Design and drafting: 2D/3D modeling, BOMs, and concept drawings.
• Manage CAD, REVIT, BIM360 library locations.
• Create design drawings for quotation and purchasing; support prototypes.
• Assist engineers and production with manufacturing issues.
• Coordinate demonstration units and prototypes with production.
• Prepare drawings and collateral for IEC, VDE, UL listings.
• Participate in meetings, site visits, and sales events as required.
• Travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
