Job summary

Pt Sasa Inti, a global energy analytics leader, is seeking a Remote Lead Data Scientist to guide advanced ML initiatives and lead a distributed team. The role focuses on energy forecasting, consumption prediction, anomaly detection, and translating complex data insights into actionable strategies.

You will design scalable models, build robust data pipelines, and mentor colleagues across continents in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's in Data Science, Statistics, CS, or related quantitative field.
• 8+ years in data science with proven energy sector track record.
• Expertise in ML algorithms and statistical modeling.
• Proficiency in Python or R and libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn.
• Experience with Spark, Hadoop and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong leadership and team-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead ML model development for energy forecasting, consumption prediction, and anomaly detection.
• Design and implement data pipelines for collecting, cleaning, and processing large energy datasets.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, operations, and business units to identify analytical opportunities and define project requirements.
• Mentor junior data scientists and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Develop and maintain documentation for models, algorithms, and methodologies.
• Communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
