Groove is seeking a Remote Lead Data Scientist to spearhead Energy Analytics initiatives and lead a distributed team of data scientists. You will architect solutions for predictive maintenance, demand forecasting, and grid optimization, shaping the next era of energy insights.

This role requires strong leadership, advanced modeling, and exceptional communication to align data science with business goals across energy generation, distribution, and consumption.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, CS, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 8+ years in data science, with at least 3 years in a lead/management role.
• Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience in big data technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists to develop and deploy ML models and analytical solutions for energy analytics.
• Architect and implement advanced analytical frameworks to extract insights from large energy data sets.
• Develop predictive models for equipment failure, energy demand, and renewable energy output.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate needs into data science projects.
• Design and execute experiments to evaluate data-driven strategies.
• Communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
