Job summary

Pt. Lucky Charm Plastic seeks a Remote Aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS) Specialist to develop, implement and maintain robust SMS for aviation organizations.

The role involves working remotely, conducting risk assessments, audits, trainings, and reporting to ensure ICAO Annex 19 compliance and a proactive safety culture. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in aviation safety, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a global remote environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in aviation safety management, risk assessment, or compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of ICAO Annex 19 and other international aviation safety regulations.
• Proven experience developing and implementing Safety Management Systems.
• Strong understanding of safety risk management, hazard analysis, and mitigation techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines remotely.
• Relevant safety certifications (e.g., ISMS-TA, CSMP) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement SMS in accordance with ICAO Annex 19, EASA, FAA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Conduct safety risk assessments, hazard identification, and development of mitigations.
• Establish and manage safety reporting systems, including incident investigations.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees at all levels.
• Perform safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify improvement areas.
• Maintain SMS documentation, including policies, procedures, and safety performance indicators.
• Facilitate safety action groups and management review meetings.
• Promote a positive and proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
• Advise management on safety-related matters and emerging risks.
