Job summary

Bauhaus Earth seeks a senior in-country representative in Jakarta to lead the Indonesia program for regenerative construction, with a focus on bamboo-based materials and local partnerships.

You will bridge Berlin HQ and field teams, translate global strategy into practical tasks, oversee research, prototyping and construction on site, and manage supply chains while ensuring safety and environmental standards across projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years on-ground experience in Indonesia with government ministries and local communities.
• Proven track record managing physical construction projects and site execution.
• Fluent Bahasa Indonesia and English (C1).

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior in-country representative and primary local contact.
• Bridge Berlin HQ and field teams, translating strategy into actionable tasks.
• Oversee technical research, prototyping, and construction on the ground.
• Manage local nature-based material sourcing and testing for safety and quality.
• Monitor risks and report opportunities to project lead in Berlin.
