Job summary

Sinar Mas Land is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead cost estimation, tendering, contract administration and cost control for major high-rise development projects in BSD City, Indonesia.

You will prepare BOQs, unit rate analyses, and cost reports; manage tender processes with vendors and subcontractors; monitor budgets and variances, and collaborate with Project, Engineering, Procurement and Finance teams to optimize project costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying or cost management.
• Strong knowledge of cost estimation, BOQ, unit rate analysis, tender management, contract administration, and cost control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with QS software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise QS activities including cost estimation, tendering, contract administration and cost control.
• Prepare cost estimates, BOQ, and cost analyses for construction works.
• Manage the tender process including documents, evaluation, and negotiation with vendors and subcontractors.
• Conduct unit rate analysis to ensure pricing accuracy and cost efficiency.
• Monitor project progress, verify work quantities, and evaluate contractor payment claims.
• Monitor project budgets and identify cost variances and risks.
• Review design changes and assess their impact on costs and budgets.
• Prepare regular cost and budget reports and provide recommendations.
• Coordinate with Project, Engineering, Procurement and Finance teams on cost and contract matters.
• Willing to be placed in BSD City.

Job description

Manage the tender process, including preparation of tender documents, tender evaluation, and negotiation with vendors and subcontractors.

Conduct unit rate analysis to ensure accurate pricing and cost efficiency.

Monitor project progress, verify work quantities, and evaluate contractor payment claims.

Monitor project budgets and actual costs, identifying cost variances and potential cost risks.

Review design and scope changes and assess their impact on project costs and budget projections.

Prepare regular cost and budget reports and provide recommendations to management.

Coordinate with Project, Engineering, Procurement, and Finance teams on cost and contract-related matters.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or related fields, preferably in high-rise building or property development projects.

Strong knowledge of cost estimation, BOQ, unit rate analysis, tender management, contract administration, and cost control.

Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and project cost management.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and preferably familiar with QS/cost management software.

Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.

Able to work independently and lead a team effectively.

Willing to be placed in BSD City.
