Job summary

PT China Construction Yangtze River Indonesia seeks a dedicated Document Control / Quality Assurance professional to oversee QA procedures and document control across construction projects in Indonesia. You will maintain filing systems, coordinate with teams, suppliers and regulatory bodies, and prepare reports on quality performance.

You must hold a Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or related field, have 3–5 years in QA/QC, and be fluent in English and Indonesian.

Qualifications

• Experience with document control and electronic document management systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and international building codes is advantageous.

Job description

Develop, implement and monitor quality assurance procedures, standards and protocols across all construction projects to ensure compliance with international and local building codes

Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction activities, materials and workmanship to verify quality standards are being met and maintained

Prepare and maintain comprehensive quality documentation including inspection reports, test records, certificates of conformance and non-conformance reports

Manage and control all project documentation systems, including drawings, specifications, technical manuals, correspondence and regulatory filings

Establish and maintain document filing systems that ensure easy retrieval, version control and accurate record-keeping across all project phases

Coordinate with project teams, contractors and suppliers to ensure timely collection and proper filing of all required documentation

Identify quality issues and deviations, prepare corrective action requests and track their implementation to completion

Maintain quality records and produce statistical reports on quality performance for management review

Liaise with clients, consultants and regulatory authorities regarding quality matters and documentation requirements

Ensure all safety documentation and incident reports are properly recorded, filed and reported in accordance with company policy

What we're looking for

Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Assurance or a related engineering discipline

Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in quality assurance and/or quality control within the construction industry

Proven experience in document control and management systems, including familiarity with electronic document management software

Strong knowledge of international construction standards, building codes and quality management systems (ISO 9001 experience is advantageous)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and construction management software

Excellent organisational and filing skills with meticulous attention to detail

Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders including contractors, consultants and client representatives

Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment

Fluency in English and Indonesian (verbal and written) is essential

Familiarity with construction project management methodologies is highly desirable

Previous experience on large-scale infrastructure or heavy civil construction projects would be advantageous
