Job summary

PT Esensi Solusi Buana (ESB) is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure high-quality software through hands-on testing across features from planning to release. You will identify gaps, advocate for the user experience, and drive testing initiatives with honesty and empathy.

In this role you will own test execution, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and help prevent defects by analyzing incidents and creating robust test cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience per requirements.
• 1-3 years of software testing experience with automated and manual testing.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies (functional, regression, UAT).
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Ability to advocate for quality and push back on poor requirements.
• Comfort with ambiguity and asking the right questions.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality software.
• Ability to write clear test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify testing gaps and risks early in the development cycle with transparency.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and tooling with agility.
• Participate in requirement grooming and design reviews to ensure a smooth user journey.
• Own end-to-end testing for critical features and sign-off with rigorous evaluation.
• Analyze production incidents and create test cases to prevent recurrence.
