Job summary

PT Bank Multiarta Sentosa Tbk (Bank MAS) is seeking an experienced IT QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in software quality assurance and hands-on experience building test automation frameworks from scratch.

You will design and implement automation frameworks, develop and execute automated test scripts for API and UI testing, integrate tests into CI/CD, and collaborate with developers to improve test coverage and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Quality Assurance with hands-on test automation experience.
• Proven track record building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and SDLC.
• Hands-on with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or similar.
• Experience API testing with Postman/REST Assured or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with cloud and containerization is a plus.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced IT QA Automation Engineer who has a strong background in software quality assurance and hands-on experience in building test automation frameworks from scratch.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and implement test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
• Develop and implement automation strategies aligned with project requirements and quality objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, efficiency, and overall QA processes through automation.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and delivery.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other team members to understand business requirements and define effective test scenarios.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, troubleshoot failures, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, automation scripts, and test reports.
• Ensure the quality, stability, and maintainability of automation frameworks and test suites.
• Continuously evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and best practices to improve test automation capabilities.

Requirements :

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance (QA), with significant hands-on experience in test automation.
• Proven experience in building and implementing test automation frameworks from scratch, including framework architecture and setup.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Hands‑on experience with automation testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar technologies.
• Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of defect management, test planning, test execution, and root cause analysis.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience in performance testing using tools such as JMeter or similar solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud environments and containerization technologies such as AWS, Azure, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Experience mentoring other QA engineers or establishing automation best practices within a team.
