Job summary

Unknown is seeking a QA Automation Engineer / SDET to join our team on-site in Batam, Indonesia. The role focuses on building and maintaining automated testing solutions, integrating test automation into CI/CD, and driving QA efficiency across web and API testing.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in software testing or SDET roles, expertise with Selenium or WebdriverIO, and strong CI/CD experience. Strong communication and independent work style are valued.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in software testing, QA automation, or SDET roles, with experience across multiple SDLC cycles in web development.
• Proven experience with automated functional, UI, API, load, and/or performance testing.
• Experience with testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium and WebdriverIO.
• Practical experience with GitHub, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Deep understanding of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
• Solid understanding of web technologies, software development lifecycle, and QA processes.
• Mindset: Self-driven, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize automated test scripts and frameworks to meet testing objectives and business requirements.
• Automate and improve QA processes to increase testing efficiency, reliability, and overall software quality.
• Collaborate with developers, functional teams, and users to define testing requirements, objectives, strategies, and test plans.
• Conduct automated functional, UI, API, load, and performance testing for web-based applications.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Build and maintain automated test data, testing environments, and test automation frameworks.
• Create, maintain, and share QA documentation, testing procedures, and relevant technical materials.
• Collect, measure, and monitor software testing metrics to support continuous quality improvement.
• Stay updated on emerging QA technologies and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.

To support their technology and quality assurance initiatives, they are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer / SDET. Based full-time on-site in Batam, Indonesia, this role focuses on building and maintaining automated testing solutions, improving QA efficiency, and integrating test automation into modern software development and CI/CD processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Automation: Develop, maintain, and optimize automated test scripts and frameworks to meet testing objectives and business requirements.
• QA Process Improvement: Automate and improve QA processes to increase testing efficiency, reliability, and overall software quality.
• Test Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with developers, functional teams, and users to define testing requirements, objectives, strategies, and test plans.
• Web & API Testing: Conduct automated functional, UI/UX, API, load, and performance testing for web-based applications.

Requirements:

Nice-to-Have:

• Practical experience with AI-assisted testing tools, such as GitHub Copilot.

• Experience with software testing metrics and QA performance monitoring.
• ISTQB or other testing-related certification.
