Job summary

Hiin Holdings Pte Ltd in Batam, Indonesia, seeks an experienced QEHS professional to develop, implement, and maintain ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 management systems for maritime operations.

You will lead internal audits, coordinate external audits, manage inspections and compliance documentation, drive HSSEQ improvements across ISM Code, IMO regulations, and vessel safety, and produce regular management reports in English.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years of QEHS, HSSEQ, maritime compliance, or related experience.
  • Proven experience developing, implementing, and maintaining ISO 9001/14001/45001 management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain ISO management systems and certifications, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  • Coordinate and conduct internal audits and facilitate external audits and certification processes.
  • Manage and support inspections and audits, including SIRE, SRC, Class, Flag State, and PSC inspections.
  • Investigate, monitor, and follow up on observations, non-conformities (NCs), and corrective actions related to QEHS matters.
  • Ensure vessels comply with applicable Class/Flag, international conventions, regulations, and the Company's ISM Code.
  • Assist the DPA/A.DPA in the implementation, execution, and maintenance of compliance with ISM Code procedures.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and compliance updates for management, directors, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage vessel insurance documentation and annual renewals, ensuring insurance coverage and statutory certificates remain valid and up to date.
  • Coordinate vessel certification activities and maintain records of regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct training and awareness programs for vessel crews on the Company's Safety Management System (SMS) and ISM Code requirements.
  • Support HSSEQ initiatives and continuous improvement programs throughout the organization.

Job description

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in QEHS, HSSEQ, maritime compliance, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
Strong understanding of:
  • ISM Code
  • IMO regulations
  • SOLAS
  • MARPOL
  • MLC
  • Vessel safety regulations
  • Knowledge of vessel insurance processes, coverage requirements, certification management, and compliance documentation.
  • Experience handling HSSEQ management systems, audits, inspections, and corrective action processes.
  • Experience as a QMS Lead or equivalent role for ISO certification management is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills.
  • Good communication and report-writing abilities in English.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
