NOV is seeking a QC Painting Inspector to join our fabrication facility in Batam. You will perform coating quality inspections, monitor environmental readings, and verify surface cleanliness while ensuring tests align with ITP and project specifications.

This role requires 2–3 years of relevant experience, a Level 2 coating inspector certification, and the ability to work on-site with shift rotations. Ideal candidates are familiar with coating instruments (DFT gauge, Holiday tester) and MS

Qualifications

• 2–3 years minimum experience as coating inspector/painting adviser in a fabrication facility.
• Certified coating inspector Level 2 (BGAS, AMPP/NACE/SSPC, ICorr, FROSIO, etc.).
• Familiar with coating instruments and measuring devices (DFT Gauge, Holiday Tester, Conductivity Meter, Adhesion pull-off test, Profile Gauge).
• Technical Diploma or Degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Monitor environmental readings (humidity, dew point, steel temp) in facility.
• Verify surface cleanliness, salt test, dust test, profile check, WFT, DFT, Holiday etc.
• Ensure tests follow specification and ITP/project requirements.
• Ensure blasting and painting reports are issued timely by the next following day.
• Cover N/S activity in Profab facility as instructed by superior.
• Perform any other QC related duties as required by organization or QC Manager.
• Willing to do shift rotation and work under pressure.
• Integrate into the project quickly as resource is required; familiarity with NOV-Profab system is advantageous.
• Minimum 2–3 years experience as QC painting inspector or QC Painting Adviser in fabrication contractor facility.
• Technical high school or Technical Diploma; degree holder is an advantage.
• Physically fit and site-based work.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office including Outlook for inspection reports.

Job Description

Ensure and carry out coating quality inspection as per project requirements, ITP and projects specifications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor environmental readings (humidity, dew point, steel temp) in facility.
• Verify surface cleanliness, salt test, other contamination test - dust test, profile check, WFT, DFT, Holiday etc
• Ensure frequency of such test are in line with specification and all requirements are met as per ITP and project specification.
• Ensure blasting and painting reports are issued timely by next following day.
• Cover N/S activity in Profab facility as per further instruction from superior (if required).
• Perform any other QC related duties when required by organization or QC Manager.
• Must be willing to do shift rotation anytime and handle work under pressure.
• Need to have someone who can readily integrate into the project immediately as resource is required asap,hence familiar with organization (NOV-Profab) ongoing system is definitely a major advantage in selection of candidate.
• Must have a minimum reasonable amount of experiences working as QC painting inspector or QC Painting Adviser (Painting Manuf representative) in fabrication contractor facility – Min 2 ~ 3 years
• Technical high school or Technical Diploma. Degree holder will be added advantage.
• Physically fit and energetic since will be mostly site base.
• He or She must be familiar with Microsoft office application including outlook for inspection report generation/email correspondence.

Qualifications

• Need to have approx. min 2-3 years relevant experience and certified coating inspector painting inspector Level 2 (BGAS, AMPP/NACE/SSPC, ICorr, FROSIO etc).
• Familiarity with use of coating instruments and measuring devices (DFT Gauge, Holiday Tester, Conductivity Meter, Adhesion pull off test, Profile Gauge etc)
• Technical Diploma or Degree will be preferable.
