Job summary

SeaOwl Indonesia is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to lead quality activities across construction and commissioning. You will ensure all work aligns with project specs, drawings, ITPs, and standards, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and inspectors.

The role requires 5–8 years in QA/QC on EPC/O&G projects, with strong documentation and communication skills to support audits and turnover.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-8 years of QA/QC experience in EPC, Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Offshore, Marine, Shipyard, or Industrial Construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes, inspection procedures, quality management systems, and industry standards.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documents.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all QA/QC activities during construction, installation, inspection, testing, mechanical completion, and handover.
• Ensure all works are performed per project specs, drawings, ITPs, quality procedures, and applicable standards.
• Coordinate inspection and testing with clients, subcontractors, construction teams, engineering teams, and third-party inspectors.
• Monitor quality performance and ensure compliance with project quality requirements across all phases.
• Review, maintain, and control quality documentation such as inspection/test reports, NCRs, and handover dossiers.
• Track NCRs, punch lists, and corrective actions to ensure timely closure.
• Support project quality audits, surveillance, and client inspections.
• Collaborate with Construction, Engineering, HSE, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues.
• Prepare and submit QA/QC reports and quality records to management and clients.
• Ensure all quality records are complete and maintained for project turnover.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved project specifications, engineering drawings, ITPs, quality procedures, and applicable international standards.
• Coordinate inspection and testing activities with clients, subcontractors, construction teams, engineering teams, and third-party inspectors.
• Monitor project quality performance and ensure compliance with project quality requirements throughout all project phases.
• Review, maintain, and control quality documentation, including inspection reports, test reports, RFI, NCR, and handover dossiers.
• Track, monitor, and follow up NCRs, punch list items, and corrective actions to ensure timely closure.
• Support project quality audits, surveillance activities, and client inspections.
• Work closely with Construction, Engineering, HSE, and subcontractor teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Prepare and submit QA/QC reports, quality records, and project quality updates to management and clients.
• Ensure all quality records and documentation are complete and properly maintained for project turnover and final handover.
  

REQUIREMENT

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years of QA/QC experience in EPC, Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Offshore, Marine, Shipyard, or Industrial Construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes, inspection procedures, quality management systems, and industry standards.
• Proficient in Mechanical and Electrical inspection and quality control activities.
• Familiar with ITP, PQP, NCR, RFI, Method Statements, Inspection Reports, Test Reports, and Quality Documentation.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documents.
• Experience coordinating inspections with clients, third-party inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Good understanding of construction, installation, testing, and mechanical completion activities.
• Experience in HVDC Converter Platform or Offshore Substation projects will be an advantage.
• Strong coordination, communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to communicate effectively in English.
