Job summary

OSI Electronics, a long-standing player in electronic manufacturing, seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer to lead QA activities across product lines. You will manage internal and external quality issues, drive 8D reports, and ensure compliance with ISO standards and IPC practices.

The role requires hands-on testing, strong knowledge of QA methodologies, and experience in software QA and cable harness processes, with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor degree required.
• At least 2 years experience in a PCBA manufacturing environment.
• Capable of performing FA activities and implementing preventive/corrective actions.
• Able to conduct RCA and 8D
• Able to drive improvement programs with tools like QCC, Six Sigma, lean manufacturing
• Demonstrates effective leadership within QA.
• Skilled in SPC, MSA, PPAP and APQP related to quality.
• Experience in Cable Harness processes and software QA.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• Ability to write clear, concise test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on with white box and black box testing; automated testing tools.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
• Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage quality issues (internal/external) and 8D reports.
• Understand ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, IPC-A-620 standards.
• Coordinate with programs on customer requirements for quality.
• Analyze inspection data and identify top problems; drive corrective actions.
• Assist in compiling quality performance data for management review.
• Assist in internal audits.
• Ensure quality inspections and improvement activities are conducted.
• Generate quality-related work instructions.
• Investigate non-conforming software and train users on solutions.
• Track QA metrics like defect densities and open defects.
• Stay updated on new testing tools and strategies.

Responsibilities

• Able to manage quality issue (internal/External) and 8D report
• Understand International standard ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, IPC-A-620
• To manage product quality issue and communicate with Program on customer requirement.
• To conduct inspection data analysis and define the top problem and conduct meeting toensure corrective measure isimplement
• Assist in the compilation and analyze of quality performance for submission to managementfor review and discussion
• Assist in conducting Internal Audit
• To ensure quality inspections/ improvement activities are being conducted
• To generate quality related work instruction.
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

• Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct
• It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor degree
• Experience min. 2 years in PCBA Manufacturing company
• To be able to perform FA activities
• To be able to ensure that effectiveness implementation of Preventive and corrective action
• Able to conduct RCA and 8D
• Able to facilitate improvement program with such improvement tools eg QCC, Six Sigmamethodology, lean manufacturing.
• Able to demonstrate effective leadership
