Job summary

PT Kredit Utama Fintech Indonesia is seeking an experienced Lead Python Developer to join our Technology department in a contract role in Kemayoran, Jakarta Utara. You will design and execute scalable Python-based backends, review code, and contribute to CI/CD while ensuring regulatory audit compliance.

You will work with Django, Flask, or FastAPI, and deploy ML models (XGBoost) on large datasets using Dask/Spark, with Kafka/RabbitMQ for events and MySQL optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a Python Developer or equivalent.
• Strong experience with regulatory data (Not Regulatory apps).
• Proficient in Python with frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Extensive experience building, training, tuning, and deploying ML models, with expert-level XGBoost.
• Deep knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals, including supervised learning, model evaluation, bias–variance tradeoffs, and overfitting/underfitting.
• Experience with large-scale datasets and distributed computing frameworks (Dask, Spark) used with XGBoost.
• Familiarity with MySQL optimization and event-driven architecture (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
• Solid understanding of REST API best practices.

Responsibilities

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Python Developer to join our talented team at PT. Kredit Utama Fintech Indonesia. As a key member of our Technology department, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining our cutting-edge financial technology solutions. This is a contract role based in Kemayoran, Jakarta utara.

What you'll be doing

Design, develop and implement efficient and scalable Python-based backend services or data processing pipelines as needed

Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of our software and contributing to CI/CD pipeline improvements

Write clean, well-documented code that adheres to best practices and industry standard

Maintaining audit trails compliant with OJK regulations

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions

Stay up-to-date with the latest Python frameworks, libraries, and technologies to continuously improve our systems

Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed

What we're looking for
