Job summary

PT Kredit Utama Fintech Indonesia is seeking an experienced Lead Python Developer to join our Technology department in a contract role in Kemayoran, Jakarta Utara. You will design and execute scalable Python-based backends, review code, and contribute to CI/CD while ensuring regulatory audit compliance.

You will work with Django, Flask, or FastAPI, and deploy ML models (XGBoost) on large datasets using Dask/Spark, with Kafka/RabbitMQ for events and MySQL optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a Python Developer or equivalent.
• Strong experience with regulatory data (Not Regulatory apps).
• Proficient in Python with frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Extensive experience building, training, tuning, and deploying ML models, with expert-level XGBoost.
• Deep knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals, including supervised learning, model evaluation, bias–variance tradeoffs, and overfitting/underfitting.
• Experience with large-scale datasets and distributed computing frameworks (Dask, Spark) used with XGBoost.
• Familiarity with MySQL optimization and event-driven architecture (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
• Solid understanding of REST API best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement efficient and scalable Python-based backend services or data processing pipelines.
• Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure quality and reliability, and contribute to CI/CD improvements.
• Write clean, well-documented code following best practices and industry standards.
• Maintain audit trails compliant with OJK regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with Python frameworks, libraries, and technologies to improve systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members as needed.
