PT Masdar Mitra Solar Radiance, part of PT Mitrabara Adiperdana Tbk., seeks a PV Engineer to design rooftop and utility-scale solar systems and prepare SLDs, layouts, and sizing calculations. You will conduct site surveys, energy yield analyses, and develop BOQs to support project delivery.
The role requires collaboration with PM, procurement, construction, and operations, plus commissioning and O&M support.
Design and develop Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems for rooftop and utility-scale solar projects in accordance with client requirements, engineering standards, and industry best practices.
Prepare engineering deliverables, including single-line diagrams (SLD), PV layouts, string configurations, cable sizing, inverter sizing, and electrical protection systems.
Conduct solar resource assessments, energy yield analysis, and technical feasibility studies to support project development and optimize system performance.
Perform site surveys and technical assessments to evaluate site conditions, structural feasibility, electrical infrastructure, and project requirements.
Develop technical specifications and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for PV modules, inverters, mounting structures, electrical equipment, and other balance-of-system (BOS) components.
Collaborate with Project Management, Procurement, Construction, and Operations teams to ensure engineering designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
Provide technical support throughout project execution, including installation, testing, commissioning, and system energization.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and recommend corrective actions to maximize system efficiency and reliability.
Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including technical calculations, design reports, as-built drawings, commissioning reports, and project documentation.
Ensure all engineering designs and project activities comply with applicable local regulations, electrical standards, HSE requirements, and international standards.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in solar PV technology, engineering practices, and renewable energy regulations to drive continuous improvement.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Physics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a PV Engineer, Solar Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or a similar role within the renewable energy industry.
Strong understanding of Solar PV systems, including PV modules, inverters, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), monitoring systems, and grid interconnection.
Experience in the engineering, installation, testing, commissioning, and operation & maintenance (O&M) of solar PV systems.
Proficient in engineering and simulation software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, SketchUp, or similar tools.
Strong knowledge of PV system design, energy yield calculations, shading analysis, cable sizing, and electrical protection systems.
Familiarity with applicable engineering standards and regulations, including IEC, SNI, PUIL, and other relevant electrical codes.
Ability to prepare and interpret engineering drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), and technical documentation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Willing to travel for site surveys, project supervision, and commissioning activities as required.
