Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pulp and Paper Science, or related field.
• Experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in the pulp and paper industry.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with ability to interpret results.
• Familiarity with lab equipment used for pulp testing.
• Knowledge of pulp production processes desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and data analysis software.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to work shifts and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine testing and analysis of pulp samples.
• Conduct physical, chemical, and mechanical tests to evaluate pulp quality.
• Record and interpret test results with detailed records.
• Monitor process parameters and raw material inputs.
• Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot process issues.
• Assist in development and implementation of quality control procedures.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration, cleanliness, and safety.
• Stay updated on industry developments and regulations.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to improve process efficiency and cost.
• Adhere to safety protocols in the laboratory.
