Job summary

Multi Ocean Shipyard is seeking a mechanical/marine maintenance technician to perform inspection, maintenance, and installation of propellers and shafting systems. You will assist with dismantling/assembly of propeller components and conduct precise measurements and alignments.

The role requires a disciplined, detail-oriented approach and teamwork in a workshop and shipboard environment. The ideal candidate has basic reading of technical drawings, understands mechanical systems, and can operate

Qualifications

• Minimum SMK/D3/S1 in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Ship Machinery, or related fields.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, machinery, and tools.
• Reading technical/mechanical drawings is an advantage.
• Willing to work in workshop and shipboard environments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, repair, and install propellers and related components.
• Assist with dismantling and assembly of propeller, shafting, bearing, coupling, and other components.
• Conduct measurements, alignment, and condition checks on propeller and shafting systems.
• Identify damage, wear, or abnormalities and report findings to the Supervisor.
• Operate mechanical tools and equipment safely and correctly.
• Ensure work meets SOP, quality, and safety standards.
• Prepare accurate inspection and work reports.
• Work closely with the team to complete maintenance and repair activities.

• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Internship/PKL experience in mechanical or marine-related fields is an advantage
