Job summary

PT TÜV SÜD Indonesia is seeking an experienced Project Manager – International TPI to oversee third-party inspection projects between clients and our international execution teams. You will ensure smooth coordination, timely delivery, and high-quality project outcomes from inquiry to completion.

The role requires strong knowledge of import processes, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder management with a focus on accuracy and client satisfaction in a global context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Economics, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of import inspection/verification, customs, logistics, freight forwarding, or inspection services.
• Experience in physical inspection of imported goods and preparing inspection reports.
• Good understanding of import documentation, Indonesian import regulations, and customs procedures.
• Able to verify product specifications and technical requirements against supporting documents.
• Experience coordinating with importers, exporters, manufacturers, freight forwarders, and relevant authorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage TPI projects from client inquiry through project completion; coordinate project scope, schedule, inspection requirements, and deliverables.
• Act as the main operational contact for clients; provide project updates and coordinate inspection schedules and deliverables.
• Coordinate inspection scope, requirements, schedule, and commercial terms with execution team; monitor resources and timely submission of reports.
• Coordinate with Project Support for documentation, archiving, and administration; ensure records are maintained and invoicing processes.
• Review subvendor quotations; monitor project costs, margins, and scope changes; ensure compliance with TÜV SÜD procedures.

Role Summary

The Project Manager – International TPI is responsible for managing third-party inspection projects between clients and international inspection execution team, ensuring smooth coordination, timely execution, quality deliverables, and project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management

Manage TPI projects from client inquiry through project completion; Coordinate project scope, schedule, inspection requirements, and deliverables; Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion; Resolve project issues and coordinate escalation when required.

2. Inspection Coordination

Act as the main operational contact for clients; Provide project updates and coordinate inspection schedules and deliverables; Handle client feedback, questions, and operational issues.

3. Resource Management

Coordinate inspection scope, requirements, schedule, and commercial terms with execution team; Monitor resources performance and ensure timely submission of inspection reports; Maintain good working relationships with international inspection team.

4. Project Administration

Coordinate with Project Support for project documentation, archiving, and administration; Ensure project records, inspection reports, and correspondence are properly maintained; Coordinate project completion documentation; Coordinate with Finance/Admin for client invoicing and resources payment processes.

5. Quality & Commercial Control

Review subvendor quotations and ensure alignment with client requirements; Monitor project costs, margins, and scope changes; Review inspection reports and deliverables before submission to clients; Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed requirements and TÜV SÜD procedures.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Economics, or related disciplines.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in import inspection/verification, customs, logistics, freight forwarding, or inspection services.

Experience in physical inspection of imported goods and preparing inspection reports/technical findings.

Good understanding of import documentation, Indonesian import regulations, and customs procedures.

Able to verify product specifications and technical requirements against supporting documents.

Experience coordinating with importers, exporters, manufacturers, freight forwarders, and relevant authorities. Knowledge of regulated industrial commodities such as machinery, steel, electrical/electronic equipment, construction materials, or automotive components is an advantage.
