Job summary

App Group is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to support heavy industrial projects in Indonesia. You will review drawings, coordinate with engineers and vendors, and provide on-site technical support during construction and commissioning.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical or instrumentation engineering, strong English communication, and willingness to work at project sites. Experience in pulp, paper, power, or petrochemical facilities is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum age 18.
• Proven ability to communicate in English with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Willingness to work at project sites and support construction, commissioning, startup activities.
• Experience in heavy industry plants is preferred.
• Familiar with PLC, DCS, and field instruments.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings (P&IDs, wiring, loop diagrams, layouts) and coordinate to resolve issues.
• Provide on-site technical support during construction and commissioning.
• Hands-on instrument and control valve specification, installation, testing, and commissioning.

• Review engineering drawings (P&IDs, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and layouts), coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve technical issues, and provide on-site technical support during construction and commissioning activities.
• Hands-on experience in industrial greenfield or brownfield projects, including instrument and control valve specification, selection, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal, for coordination with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Experience in the pulp and paper industry, power plants, petrochemical plants, or other heavy industrial facilities is preferred.
• Familiar with PLC, DCS, field instruments, and industrial control systems.
• Strong understanding of instrumentation standards, calibration procedures, and troubleshooting of field instruments.
• Willing to work at project sites and support construction, commissioning, and startup activities as required.
