Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate translation and interpretation for Mandarin communications in business and daily interactions.

About the role

PT Pan Brothers, Tbk is seeking a skilled Mandarin Translator/Interpreter to join our team on a full-time basis in Boyolali, Jawa Tengah. This role is critical to facilitating effective communication between our international partners and domestic operations, ensuring seamless business interactions across language and cultural barriers. As a Mandarin Translator/Interpreter, you will serve as a vital bridge in our administrative and executive support functions, enabling smooth collaboration at all levels of the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional translation and interpretation services for Mandarin Chinese communications in both formal business settings and day-to-day interactions
• Translate business documents, correspondence, contracts, and reports from Mandarin Chinese to Indonesian and English, and vice versa, maintaining accuracy and preserving intended meaning
• Interpret during meetings, negotiations, and presentations involving Mandarin-speaking clients, partners, and stakeholders
• Support executive staff and management with multilingual communication needs and administrative tasks requiring language expertise
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive business information and communications
• Assist in cultural liaison activities to ensure smooth international business relationships
• Proofread and quality-check translated materials to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Coordinate scheduling and logistics for interpretation assignments as required

What we're looking for

• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (both simplified and traditional characters preferred) with native or near-native proficiency
• Excellent command of Indonesian and English, with demonstrated ability to translate and interpret accurately between all three languages
• Proven experience as a translator or interpreter in a professional business environment
• Strong understanding of business terminology and commercial context across multiple industries
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple translation and interpretation assignments simultaneously
• Professional demeanour with strong cultural awareness and sensitivity
• Familiarity with translation software and tools is advantageous
• Certification in translation or interpretation from a recognised institution is preferred
• Experience in the manufacturing or textile industry would be beneficial
