Job summary

GEA is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee Heating & Refrigeration Solutions projects from installation through commissioning and handover. You will act as the primary interface between customers, vendors, and internal teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with technical specifications.

Responsibilities include leading site teams, managing BOQ and materials, coordinating with engineering and procurement, and conducting end-user training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in mechanical or refrigeration engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in industrial refrigeration, heating solutions, HVAC, or related project environments.
• Experience in site supervision and contractor management is highly preferred.
• Proficient in Excel; familiarity with MS Project or scheduling tools is an advantage.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Willing to travel extensively and work at project sites for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel during project execution and installation activities.
• Monitor project progress and update schedules to ensure milestones and delivery timelines.
• Prepare and submit weekly progress reports highlighting status, risks, issues, and mitigations.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, and internal teams across the project lifecycle.
• Manage materials, BOQ, equipment deliveries, and inventory for cost control.
• Oversee installation, start-up, testing, and commissioning of systems.
• Conduct operator training to ensure proper operation, maintenance, and safety.
• Execute project handover, including as-built docs, punch-list closure, and acceptance certificates.
• Monitor projects during warranty and provide technical support.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality, and local regulatory obligations.
