Job summary

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions in Balikpapan seeks an IMS Support Engineer to deliver competency training and value education on Drilling optimisation, Radar Solutions and Integrated Machine Systems, with remote and on-site technical support.

You will travel to customer sites as required, support installation and training, and ensure safety, environmental and quality standards while collaborating with engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Engineering or field installation background in electrical, networks or communications.
• Experience with OT technology in mining or heavy industry is desirable.
• Experience training customers on technology deployment or operational output.

Responsibilities

• Provide product and service implementation, competency training, and value education to stakeholders, face-to-face and remotely.
• Provide ongoing technical support and advice through regular communication and system oversight.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to scope, test, and launch new products and features.
• Maintain and adhere to documentation, reporting standards, and audits as required.
• Perform QA/QC checks and present continuous improvement recommendations.

The Position

The purpose of the IMS Support Engineer role is to effectively deliver competency training and value education to all relevant stakeholders for Hexagon’s Drilling optimisation, Radar Solutions and Integrated Machine Systems products, systems, and services. Providing customers with ongoing and proactive technical support and advice through regular communication and system oversight, while maintaining high product, safety, environmental, and quality standards. This role will primarily provide remote support to our client base.

This position will see you work at our head office in Balikpapan with regular travel to our customer site, to support installation, training and operational guidance. All travel and accommodation to customer sites will be provided by business and may include travel time of 3-14 days on site as per customer requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide product and service implementation, competency training, and value education to stakeholders, face-to-face and remotely.
• Provide customers with ongoing and proactive technical support and advice through regular communication and system oversight.
• Provide technical support/guidance to other Hexagon business units/teams. Work with engineering and development teams to scope, test, and launch new products and features.
• Maintain, enhance, and adhere to Hexagon and client documentation and reporting standards, systems, processes, policies, and procedures, participating in audits when required.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control checks on products before they are assigned and delivered to site. present recommendations for continuous improvements and modifications, actioning them as necessary.

About You

We are looking for a Field Engineer/ Product Support Engineer with a background in OT technology who is ready for the next step in their career, where your knowledge, skills, experience and passion can be brought to the forefront of your role.

Skills and Attributes

• Background in Engineering or field installation of electrical, networks or communication technology ideally in mining or heavy industrial facilities
• Prior experience within a mining operations working with OT technology would be desirable
• Prior experience in training and partnering with customer on Technology deployment or operational output
• Ability to build cohesive relationship across a diverse customer and stakeholder group.
• High School Diploma
• Certificate IV in Information Technology or related field (desirable)
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
• First aid certificate – (desirable)
• Proven success in collaborating in a customer centric, solution focused engagement.
