Job description

Project Engineer – Civil (Industrial Project)

This role will be responsible for driving infrastructure projects from initial concept through to completion. In addition to core engineering tasks, this role encompasses construction management duties, such as design review, preparation of BoQ, project planning, and on-site supervision during execution. Success in this role requires a combination of technical proficiency and strong leadership skills to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, at the highest quality standards, and in full compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design & Documentation: Review and validate civil/structural designs, BoQ, and tender documents. Recommend cost-effective design and material solutions. Ensure compliance with local codes, safety, and sustainability standards.
• Project Planning & Coordination: Develop project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocation. Support contractor/vendor selection, bid evaluation, and technical clarifications. Collaborate with MEP, architects, procurement, and consultants to align objectives. Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies before execution. Supervise daily site activities for civil/infrastructure works. Monitor contractor performance to meet design, quality, and HSE standards. Conduct inspections, approve materials, and oversee QA/QC. Resolve technical and site issues promptly.
• Project Control & Reporting: Track progress, budgets, and schedules; recommend corrective actions. Prepare weekly/monthly progress, safety, and cost reports. Support commissioning, snagging, handover, and as-built documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record in preparing BoQ, tender documents, and managing contractors.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in project management tools (MS Project/Primavera) and design software (AutoCAD; Revit/BIM preferred).
• Knowledge of sustainability and hygienic design standards is an advantage.
