Job summary

BYD Indonesia is seeking a Flash Charging Project Engineer to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of EV flash charging infrastructure projects in Jakarta. You will work with engineering, contractors, utilities, and stakeholders to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget deployment.

The role requires coordinating surveys, feasibility studies, design reviews, and progress tracking while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and permitting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Energy Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in project engineering, infrastructure development, construction management, electrical systems, or EV charging projects.
• Knowledge of EV charging infrastructure, power distribution systems, electrical installations, and construction processes.
• Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, consultants, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
• Strong project coordination, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools is preferred.
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of flash charging infrastructure projects from site assessment through commissioning and handover.
• Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and evaluations to determine requirements and readiness.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, utility companies, landlords, and authorities throughout implementation.
• Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and progress to ensure quality standards.
• Monitor timelines, costs, risks, and deliverables; escalate issues and propose corrective actions.
• Assist with installation, testing, commissioning, and acceptance activities for charging equipment and infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical standards, policies, and local permits.
• Prepare project reports, technical documentation, progress updates, and completion records.

The Flash Charging Team plays a critical role in accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles by developing and expanding BYD's fast and ultra-fast charging ecosystem across Indonesia. The team is responsible for identifying strategic charging opportunities, building partnerships with key stakeholders, and ensuring customers have convenient and reliable access to charging infrastructure.

Working closely with internal teams including Sales, Aftersales, Network Development, Product Planning, Engineering, and Government Relations, the Flash Charging Team supports BYD's long-term vision of creating a comprehensive EV ecosystem.
