Job summary

PT Trust Recruit Indonesia is seeking a Head of Department Production Woodworking in Pasuruan, East Java. The role oversees the end-to-end woodworking plant, drives efficiency, quality, and safety, and mentors supervisors to lift performance.

The successful candidate will manage resources, production schedules, and cross-functional collaboration with PPIC, Marketing, Quality Control, and Maintenance to meet targets and maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (S1) in any discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in the woodworking industry, preferably handling Merbau wood products.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end woodworking manufacturing process.
• Knowledge of FSC and SVLK certification standards is highly preferred.
• Experience working in a large-scale manufacturing environment (>500 employees).
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to lead large production teams.
• Capable of coaching and developing supervisors to improve consistency, discipline, productivity, and product quality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Willing to be based in Pasuruan, East Java.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the daily operations of the woodworking plant.
• Lead and supervise the entire woodworking production process from log receiving to finished products.
• Ensure production targets are achieved in quantity, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
• Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs for production equipment.
• Monitor production performance and evaluate daily output and productivity.
• Maintain high product quality standards through regular inspections and continuous improvement.
• Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and employees.
• Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare regular production reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Promote OHS/K3 regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
