Job summary

PT Java Projects Manufacturing in Jepara, Indonesia, is hiring a Technical / R&D Staff to turn client designs into precise drawings and build prototypes for custom furniture projects. You will prepare shop drawings, calculate BOM and material usage, and evaluate finishing methods to ensure quality and efficiency, working closely with Production, QC, Purchasing, and Marketing.

Candidates should have at least 2 years' experience in technical drawing or R&D, with AutoCAD and SketchUp proficiency;

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in technical drawing, product development, or R&D.
• Able to read technical drawings and understand wood construction and joinery.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and solution-focused.
• Experience in furniture or wood manufacturing is required.

Technical / R&D Staff

Responsibilities

Prepare technical and shop drawings based on client designs and project specifications

Calculate BOM, material usage, and construction details for custom pieces

Develop prototypes and production samples until client approval is obtained

Trial and evaluate materials, construction methods, and finishing to improve quality and efficiency

Maintain drawing, sample, and specification records for every project

Coordinate closely with Production, QC, Purchasing, and Marketing

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in technical drawing, product development, or R&D

Proficient in AutoCAD and/or SketchUp (SolidWorks or 3D rendering is an advantage)
