Job summary

MSIG Life is seeking an experienced actuary to lead pricing activities for new and existing products in Indonesia. You will analyze profitability, test pricing assumptions, and prepare reports on performance variances while supporting product design initiatives and regulatory submissions.

Collaboration with Business, Underwriting, IT, and Valuation teams is key, and you will mentor junior actuaries in modelling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform profit testing and premium calculations for new and existing products, analyzing pricing assumptions and profitability, and preparing reports on performance variances.
• Support product design and revamp initiatives through market research, pricing specifications, premium tariffs, and evaluation of policy endorsements.
• Prepare product submissions and regulatory reports to OJK/Kemenkeu, coordinate rate uploads and proposal testing, and ensure compliance with insurance regulations.
• Maintain and enhance pricing models, conduct statistical analysis on claims and policyholder behavior, and contribute to actuarial assumption studies and automation initiatives.
• Partner with Business, Underwriting, IT, and Actuarial Valuation teams on product launches, system implementations, and pricing-related matters.
• Mentor junior actuaries in product modelling (Excel, Actuary System, Product Illustration), supporting their growth and performance.
• Work confidently with large datasets to drive pricing analysis and decision-making.
