Job summary

PT Oneject Indonesia seeks a Product Development Engineer to design products and packaging, and to create 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks according to specifications. You will coordinate with tooling and Production to ensure tooling suitability and production readiness.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering and 3–4 years in Product Development, R&D, or Engineering, preferably in the medical device sector; strong CAD skills and English proficiency are

Job description

Responsible for product and packaging design, technical detailing, and preparation of engineering drawings for new product development and existing product improvement.

This role supports product structure design, packaging development, drawing control, and coordination with tooling/mold makers and other relevant departments to ensure product and packaging designs meet technical, regulatory, and manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Create 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using CAD software such as SolidWorks according to product and technical specifications.

Develop and optimize product structures, dimensions, and technical details for new products and existing product improvements.

Manage engineering drawing revisions and ensure all design changes are properly documented and controlled.

Coordinate with tooling/mold makers and Production teams to ensure product designs are suitable for tooling, molding, assembly, and mass production.

Design and revise primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging, including packaging structure, dimensions, layout, and artwork.

Determine packaging materials and specifications, such as plastic packaging, blister/medical paper, cartons, and other applicable packaging materials.

Support packaging verification and validation activities, including seal strength, package integrity, and other applicable packaging performance tests.

Ensure product and packaging designs comply with applicable technical specifications, regulatory requirements, internal procedures, and relevant standards.

Education
Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Biomedical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience
Minimum 3-4 years of experience in Product Development, R&D, or Engineering, preferably in the medical device industry.

Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, with the ability to create 3D models and 2D engineering drawings.

Understands basic product design, engineering drawing, tooling/mold, manufacturing, and packaging development principles.

Familiar with packaging materials, packaging structures, and basic packaging verification and validation requirements.

Able to work well in a team and collaborate with Product Development, Production, Quality, tooling/mold makers, and other relevant departments.

Good command of English, both written and verbal.
