Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design power transformer components and assemblies. Under supervision, you will prepare detailed designs, perform analyses, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and cost-effective solutions.

You will evaluate core and winding assemblies, tank and cooling designs, and support structures while ensuring safety and compliance with standards. 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledgeable with AUTOCAD tool, Inventor, ANSYS and Microsoft Office.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in power transformer manufacturing.
• Good communication and interpersonal skill.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design of power transformers based on customer specifications, electrical design requirements, standards and manufacturing capabilities.
• Design and review transformer general arrangement drawings, internal arrangements, tanks, covers, radiators, piping and supports.
• Create and evaluate mechanical design and arrangement against short circuit forces and vacuum/pressure conditions.
• Coordinate with production teams and suppliers to ensure design feasibility and support on-site assembly.
