Job summary

General Electric Company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design of power transformers under supervision, focusing on detail design and mechanical analysis. You will design tanks, cooling systems, and supporting structures, perform FEA and seismic calculations, and coordinate with production and industrial teams to ensure safe, compliant, on-time delivery.

Candidates should have a bachelor in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in transformer manufacturing,

Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in power transformer manufacturing.
Good communication and interpersonal skill.

Responsibilities

Mechanical design of power transformers based on customer specifications, electrical design requirements, applicable standards, and manufacturing capabilities.
Design and review transformer tanks, covers, radiators/coolers, piping, and supporting structures.
Create and evaluate mechanical design and arrangement of transformer core, windings, and insulation components against forces.
Perform FA/E analyses (FEA, seismic calculations, tank/material strength) and generate analysis reports.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with EHS requirements.
