Job summary

Inovasi Informatika Indonesia, PT is seeking a PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our data team in Jakarta. You will develop, administer, and maintain production PostgreSQL databases, ensuring availability, integrity, and security.

You will monitor health, perform backup and recovery, migrations, replication, and switchover/failover, while tuning performance and configurations and collaborating with application and infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma (D3) in IT/CS/Engineering/Math or related field.
• Strong Linux knowledge and SQL proficiency.
• Hands-on PostgreSQL administration experience.
• Backup, recovery, replication, and security understanding.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and HA solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, administer, and maintain PostgreSQL databases in production environments.
• Monitor database health, identify issues, and perform troubleshooting.
• Perform database backup, recovery, migration, replication, and switchover/failover activities.
• Optimize database performance through monitoring, query tuning, and configuration tuning.
• Ensure database availability, integrity, and security.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to resolve database-related issues.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma (D3) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL administration (mandatory).
• Good understanding of backup & recovery, replication, performance tuning, and database security.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Experience with Apache Airflow.
• Basic knowledge of Oracle Database.
• Familiarity with database monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, etc.).
• Experience with HA solutions such as Patroni, Pgpool-II, or HAProxy.
