Job summary

SeaBank Indonesia is seeking a Database Administrator to maintain the integrity, security, and availability of multiple databases across applications. You will collaborate with System Engineer, SRE, Dev, and other teams on daily operations and migrations.

Responsibilities include setting up and managing MSSQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle databases, tuning performance, ensuring security, backups, disaster recovery drills, and change control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in the relevant field is required.
• Hands-on experience with MSSQL, Oracle Database, MySQL, and PostgreSQL including replication, performance tuning, and backup strategies.
• Proficiency in database security, optimization, and monitoring best practices.
• Experience with Python/Java/Golang is an advantage.
• Linux system operations and Shell scripting experience.
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal skills.
• Excellent planning, organizational, problem solving, and time management skills.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Oracle Enterprise Manager, PMM, pgAdmin) is an advantage.
• Experience with database cloning, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize applications and reporting tools for multiple database systems.
• Support the development team for database designing, creating, optimizing and troubleshooting.
• Review existing software architecture and contribute to improve on future architecture for database stability and maximum performance.
• Research and develop new technologies for data persistence systems with high availability and performance.
• Plan and implement regular database patches, upgrades, and migration projects with proper change control management and auditing.
• Perform regular backups, disaster recovery drills, and enhancements to backup and recovery procedures.
• Improve manageability and efficiency by automating recurring tasks using scripts.
• Update and enhance process documentation to reflect ongoing improvements and best practices.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information technology, or related disciplines.

• Hands‑on experience with MSSQL, Oracle Database, MySQL, and PostgreSQL is required, including replication, performance tuning, and backup strategies.
• Proficiency in database security, optimization, and monitoring best practices.
• Extensive experience with programming in at least one of Python/Java/Golang is an advantage.
• Extensive experience with Linux system operations and Shell scripting.
• Fluent in English, strong written and verbal skills.
• Excellent planning, organizational, problem solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to take initiative, work independently, and show attention to detail.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Oracle Enterprise Manager, Percona Monitoring and Management (PMM), pgAdmin) is an advantage.

• Fast learner, willing to learn and work on multiple database techniques.
