Job summary

WACKER is seeking a Technical Assistant to support the Assistant Technical Service Manager in testing adhesives, coatings, and related applications. The role involves developing test methods, sourcing materials, and troubleshooting customer problems.

The position requires a BSc in a relevant field and strong English communication. Fresh graduates are welcome, with duties spanning lab operations, documentation, and safety compliance, in a global matrix organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in chemical engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates or up to 3 years of experience encouraged to apply.
• Exposure to adhesives, sealants or coating systems is a plus.
• Good command of English for technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day laboratory testing and analysis per standards and SOPs.
• Maintain stock levels of raw materials and dispose of expired materials.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated and in good condition per SOP.
• Assist in implementing EH&S standards and local regulations.
• Support preparation, packing and shipment of samples for stakeholders.
• Provide lab support to the Technical Service team and projects.
• Keep lab clean and address non-conformances.
