Job summary

Monroe Consulting Group is assisting a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in Indonesia to recruit a Plant Controller. The role oversees FP&A, costing, and financial operations within production, partnering with senior leadership to drive efficiency and informed decision-making.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and closing cycles, prepare management reports for multiple stakeholders, and mentor the finance team while strengthening controls and systems across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA or CMA is highly valued.
• 7+ years FP&A, plant finance, costing, or operations finance in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, 5-Year Planning, and forecasting cycles across technical operations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for local, regional, and corporate stakeholders.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis, identifying key business drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support business decisions, investments, and capital planning.
• Oversee product costing and profitability analysis across segments, manufacturing lines, and partners.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization, efficiency, and process improvements.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes and ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
• Lead and develop the Finance team while strengthening financial systems and internal controls.

Monroe Consulting Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company for a Plant Controller position based in Indonesia.

The Plant Controller will oversee financial operations within the manufacturing environment, driving financial planning, cost management, performance analysis, and operational efficiency. This role will act as a strategic finance business partner to senior leadership and cross-functional teams, translating financial data into actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead annual budgeting, 5-Year Planning, and periodic forecasting cycles across technical operations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for local, regional, and corporate stakeholders.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis, identifying key business drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support business decisions, commercial initiatives, investments, and capital planning.
• Oversee product costing and profitability analysis across business segments, manufacturing lines, and business partners.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization, operational efficiency, and process improvements.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes and ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
• Lead and develop the Finance team while strengthening financial systems, reporting capabilities, and internal controls.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA or CMA will be highly valued.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in FP&A, Plant Finance, Costing, or Technical Operations Finance within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong expertise in manufacturing costing, financial modelling, and advanced Excel.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Axapta.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and business partnering skills.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into clear and actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
• Proven leadership experience in managing and developing finance teams.
