Job summary

PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara is seeking an experienced Planner Maintenance to plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance for a fleet of mobile equipment and cranes at our mining site in Indonesia.

The role requires 8+ years in maintenance planning, strong CMMS skills, and a solid understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance. You will work cross-functionally to minimize downtime and improve reliability while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in maintenance planning management, preferably in mining or heavy equipment environments.
• Proven track record with mobile equipment and cranes in high-demand settings.
• Proficiency in CMMS software (e.g., SAP, or similar).
• Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies; knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems.

• Monitor metrics (MTBF, MTTR) and report maintenance performance to management.
• Ensure safety compliance and drive continuous improvement in maintenance processes.

Job description

The Planner Maintenance will responsible on planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to minimize downtime, optimize equipment availability, and enhance operational safety and efficiency.

Plan and oversee maintenance activities for a fleet of mobile equipment (e.g., haul trucks, excavators, loaders) and cranes.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align maintenance schedules with operational needs.

Support the development and execution of capital projects related to equipment upgrades and overhauls.

Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support for complex maintenance issues.

Ensure the effective use of CMMS to enhance maintenance planning and record-keeping

Maintenance Planning and Scheduling: Develop, implement, and maintain detailed maintenance plans for mobile equipment and cranes; Create and manage preventive,; predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules; Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.

Resource Coordination: Identify and allocate required resources, including manpower, materials, tools, and equipment; Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of spare parts and consumables.

Work Order Management: Generate, prioritize, and track work orders using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); Ensure timely closure and proper documentation of all maintenance activities.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and analyze maintenance performance metrics, including equipment availability, Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR); Provide regular reports to management on maintenance activities and trends.

Safety and Compliance: ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and equipment reliability; Implement best practices and innovative solutions for enhanced operational efficiency.

What skills and experience do you need?

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Relevant certifications in maintenance planning or reliability engineering are a plus.

Minimum 8 years of experience in maintenance planning management as Planner Maintenance; Preferably in the mining industry or a heavy equipment environment.

Proven track record of working with mobile equipment and cranes in a high-demand setting. Familiar and have extensive working years experiences for maintenance and servicing of the truck fleet and motor vehicle fleet LV (light vehicle; medium vehicle: truck, lube truck, crane, manlift, crane truck, mobile crane; crane operation; welding machine; tyre operation; genset; lighting power; compressor, etc

Proficiency in CMMS software (e.g., SAP, or similar).

Have strong understanding of maintenance strategies, including preventive and predictive maintenance; Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems for mobile equipment and cranes.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities; Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments; Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
