Job summary

Siloam Hospitals Group in Balikpapan is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to support patient rehabilitation and ensure high-quality care. You will evaluate patients, design tailored treatment plans, and collaborate with doctors and nurses to achieve recovery goals.

The role emphasizes hands-on therapy, safe practice, and clear patient education. You will document progress, attend briefings, and participate in quality and safety initiatives within the rehabilitation department.

Qualifications

• Diploma (D3) in Occupational Therapy and licensed practitioner.
• Minimum 1 year work experience as Occupational Therapist.
• Proficiency in physiotherapy techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and various modalities.
• Ability to develop tailored treatment solutions and effective plans.
• Strong skills in assessing patient conditions, diagnosing physical impairments, and developing effective treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Attend briefings before scheduled patient appointments to obtain information regarding previous operational conditions.
• Check the function and cleanliness of tools at the start of each shift to ensure all tools used comply with standards.
• Receive patients using service standards set by the Hospital to ensure consistency of service received by patients.
• Carry out the physiotherapy program in accordance with established procedures until completion to ensure patient comfort and safety during the process action takes place.
• Educate patients and their families/companions after the procedure regarding home care and schedule the next session to ensure the continuity of the patient's healing process.
• Carry out complete documentation of patient files before, during and after procedures as evaluation material to improve subsequent medical rehabilitation services.
• Collect required data and/or make reports related to operational activities as accountability to superiors.
• Implement procedures and practices for quality and safety services, including attending training, collecting data, documenting and/or making reports needed to support the achievement of hospital wide indicators and related department/unit targets.
