Job summary

Assegaf Hamzah & Partners (AHP) is seeking a skilled Patent Paralegal to join our Intellectual Property Practice Group in Jakarta. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background and hands-on experience in patent prosecution matters, drafting patent specifications, and related filings.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in patent prosecution or paralegal work, with strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
At least 3 years of patent prosecution or paralegal experience.
Experience drafting patent specifications and related documents.
Understanding of Indonesian filing procedures; familiarity with international filings is a plus.
Strong written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

Assist lawyers in the preparation, drafting, filing, and prosecution of patent applications.
Prepare and review patent-related documents, forms, correspondence, and supporting materials for filing with the relevant authorities.
Maintain and update patent docketing systems and monitor deadlines on all patent prosecution matters.
Track the progress and status of patent applications and registrations.
Assist with patent searches, information gathering, and administrative support related to patent prosecution.
